GCDA, a voluntary owned, charitable recognised society for the benefit of the community (co-op) and we have been working in London for over 30 years supporting sustainable communities.

The overarching purpose of GCDA is to create and support sustainable communities, with the capacity to meet their health needs, plan their economic development and achieve their educational and training aspirations.

GCDA aims to fulfil this purpose by meeting the following objectives:

1. Encourage local communities to develop enterprises, which meet economic and social needs.
2. To provide training programmes (courses), which build the knowledge and skills of the community and partners across the areas of work core to our aims; enterprise, health and the environment.
3. To create community hubs which represent community-based and co-operative responses to community needs, thereby strengthening the cohesiveness of communities
4. To promote healthy lifestyles to the whole population and particularly those experiencing health inequalities
